At my shows, I try to play a wide variety of music to please all ages in attendance. When possible, especially if it is a younger - more progressive crowd, I try to include as many remixes and medleys as time allows. For some of you that are more musically challenged - a remix is a version where the song has been enhanced with a beefy bass line, vinyl trickery like cutting and scratching or samples from other songs. A medley is simply a musical arrangement that includes many different songs. The goal of the medley is to give the dancers several songs from the same era or with the same beat.
While I do buy some remixes and medleys, I have a studio in which I create many of my own. Coming soon, I will give you some examples of both medleys and remixes. I will be periodically updating this page with fresh joints, so, check back often.
I will also add that I have done some short medleys for dance routines. As a matter of fact, I have done medleys used by cheerleaders at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. If you need something special done, call me or send me an email.
